Instructions for use of the article Vliwaktiv Activated Charcoal Absorbent Dressing 10x10 cm Sterile Vliwaktiv activated charcoal absorbent dressing pad is an ideal combination of a non-adherent absorbent dressing pad and an odour- and bacteria-absorbing wound dressing. It is suitable for the treatment of infected, suppurating wounds where unpleasant odours occur, such as ulcus cruris, decubitus ulcers or anal fistulas. The compress offers a skin-friendly, breathable non-woven cover that transfers the exudate into the absorbent core. Bacteria and odours are bound by the activated carbon in the Vliwaktiv. The underwear protection prevents the penetration of wound exudate. The activated charcoal absorbent pad should not be cut, as activated charcoal particles could enter the wound. The product composition consists of activated charcoal fibre, viscose, polyamide, cellulose, polypropylene and hot melt adhesive. The areas of application of the Vliwaktiv activated charcoal absorbent dressing include moderately to heavily exuding wounds with unpleasant odour formation such as ulcers, decubitus ulcers and anal fistulas.
