Snup Schnupfenspray 0,1% Nasenspray is a rhinological agent containing the active substance xylometazoline hydrochloride. It is used to reduce swelling of the nasal mucosa in rhinitis, runny nose, allergic rhinitis, inflammation of the sinuses and catarrh of the middle ear associated with the common cold. Snup can be used in adults and children from 6 years of age. It is recommended to take Snup 1-3 times a day, not exceeding the recommended dosage. The nasal spray should be sprayed into each nostril while breathing in through the nose. It should not be used for more than 7 days and reapplication should only be done after a break of several days. Snup can cause irritation such as burning of the mucous membranes, sneezing, nasal congestion and skin reactions such as rash or itching. It should not be used in case of hypersensitivity to the ingredients, dehydration of the nasal mucosa, after brain surgery, in case of cardiovascular diseases, prostate enlargement and during pregnancy and breastfeeding. The effect of the nasal spray is based on the constriction of the blood vessels in the nasal mucosa by the active substance xylometazoline. Snup Schnupfenspray 0,1% Nasenspray is available in packs of 10 ml and 15 ml and is manufactured by STADA Consumer Health Germany.
