The herbal medicine is used for colds of the respiratory tract to relieve the symptoms.It can also be used in chronic inflammatory bronchial diseases to improve symptoms.

The drops contain 40 mg of ivy leaf extract per milliliter, obtained with an extractant made from ethanol 50% (V/V) and propylene glycol in a ratio of 98:2.Glycerol, propylene glycol, eucalyptus oil, levomenthol, peppermint oil and star anise oil are included as excipients.

Contraindications

The medicine must not be taken if you are hypersensitive to ivy leaves or any of the other ingredients.It is not suitable for arginine succinate synthetase deficiency, a metabolic disorder of the urea cycle.Infants and children under 2 years of age must also not take the medicine as there is a risk of laryngeal spasm.Patients with bronchial asthma or other respiratory diseases associated with severe airway hypersensitivity should also not use the drug.Inhalation of menthol, peppermint aroma and eucalyptus oil from the medicine can cause shortness of breath or trigger an asthma attack.

Dosage

Always take the medicine exactly as directed.Please ask your doctor or pharmacist if you are not sure.Unless otherwise prescribed by your doctor, the usual dose for adults and children over 10 years of age is 31 drops 3 times a day.Children 4 to 10 years old should take 21 drops 3 times a day, and children 2 to 4 years old should take 16 drops 3 times a day.
