Instructions for use of the article Hedelix s. a. Oral drops: - Important information: Hedelix s. a. Oral drops, active substance: ivy leaf extract. Indications: For colds of the respiratory tract, to improve the symptoms of chronic inflammatory bronchial diseases. If the symptoms persist for a long time or if shortness of breath, fever or purulent or bloody sputum occurs, a doctor should be consulted. For risks and side effects, read the package leaflet and ask your doctor or pharmacist. - Instructions for use for patients: Read the leaflet carefully before you start taking this medicine. Always take the medicine exactly as stated in the leaflet or as your doctor or pharmacist has told you. Keep the leaflet. Ask your pharmacist if you need more information and contact your doctor or pharmacist if you notice any side effects. If symptoms persist or worsen, consult a doctor. - Indications: This medicinal product is a herbal medicinal product for improving the symptoms of colds of the respiratory tract and chronic inflammatory bronchial diseases. If the symptoms persist for a long time or if shortness of breath, fever, purulent or bloody sputum occurs, a doctor should be consulted. - Dosage and directions for use: The recommended dosage is 31 drops 3 times daily for adults and children over 10 years of age, 21 drops 3 times daily for children 4-10 years of age and 16 drops 3 times daily for children 2-4 years of age. Take the medicine undiluted and drink plenty of liquid. The duration of use should not be exceeded without consulting a doctor. - Contraindications: The medicinal product must not be taken in cases of hypersensitivity to ivy leaves, menthol or any of the other ingredients, in cases of arginine succinate synthetase deficiency and in children under 2 years of age. Other preparations are available for infants and children up to 2 years of age. - Side effects: Possible side effects include allergic reactions such as shortness of breath, swelling, skin redness and itching, and occasionally gastrointestinal symptoms such as nausea, vomiting and diarrhoea. If you notice any side effects, including those not mentioned in the package leaflet, contact a doctor or pharmacist. - Composition: The medicinal product contains ivy leaf extract as the active substance and other ingredients such as propylene glycol, glycerol, star anise oil, eucalyptus oil, menthol and peppermint oil. - Mode of action: The ingredients of ivy act like soap on the alveoli of the lungs and can thus loosen stuck secretions and enable them to be coughed up. - Storage: The medicinal product should be kept out of reach of children and used within 6 months after opening/preparation.
