Area of application

This herbal medicine is used to support the treatment of chronic inflammatory liver diseases, liver cirrhosis and toxic liver damage.It is suitable for teenagers aged 12 and over and adults.No prescription is required for this product.

Taking the preparation should not replace avoiding causes that damage the liver, such as consuming alcohol.If you experience signs of jaundice, such as light to dark yellow skin discoloration or yellowing of the whites of your eyes, you should consult a doctor.The medicine is not suitable for the treatment of acute poisoning.

Active ingredients and ingredients

The preparation contains 204.5 mg milk thistle fruit dry extract (24-27:1), using acetone as an extractant.It also contains 140 mg of silymarin.The excipients included are iron (III) oxide, gelatin, 69 mg glucose 1-water, glycerol, refined coconut fat, hydrogenated palm kernel oil, phospholipids from soybeans, 174 mg soybean oil, sorbitol solution 70% (non-crystallizing), 23.22 mg sorbitol, yellow wax and purified water.Furthermore, 0.02 BE total carbohydrates are present as an excipient.

Contraindications

The medicine must not be taken if you are hypersensitive or allergic to milk thistle fruit extract or any of the other ingredients of the medicine.

Dosage

Always take the product exactly as directed.If you are unsure, please ask your doctor or pharmacist.

The recommended dose for adolescents aged 12 and over and adults is one soft capsule twice daily.Children under 12 years of age should only take the medicine after consulting a doctor, as there is currently no sufficient experience for this age group.

The duration of use is in principle not limited, but should be done in consultation with the treating doctor.If symptoms persist despite taking it, please consult your doctor.If the effect is too strong or too weak, please talk to your doctor or pharmacist.

To date, no symptoms of poisoning have been observed in the event of an overdose.However, the side effects described can occur more frequently.In case of overdose you should contact your doctor.There is no known specific antidote and symptomatic treatment should be given.

If you forget to take a dose, do not take a double dose.Discontinuing the medication is usually harmless.

Intake

The soft capsules should be swallowed whole with sufficient liquid, such as a glass of water.It should be taken in the morning and evening.
