Directions for use of the article Cetixin 10mg Cetixin 10mg film-coated tablets contain the active substance cetirizine dihydrochloride. They are used to relieve nasal and ocular symptoms of seasonal and perennial allergic rhinitis and to relieve symptoms of chronic idiopathic urticaria. The recommended dose is 10 mg (1 tablet) once daily for adults and adolescents over 12 years of age. For children between 6 and 12 years of age, the recommended dose is 5 mg (half a tablet) twice daily. For patients with moderate to severe renal impairment, the recommended dose is 5 mg once daily. The tablets should be taken unchewed with liquid. The duration of use depends on the type, duration and course of the symptoms and is determined by the doctor. The medicine should be kept away from heat and out of reach of children. It must not be used if there is hypersensitivity to the ingredients or if the tablets are damaged. Side effects may include gastrointestinal discomfort, headache, dizziness and tiredness. If any adverse effects occur, a doctor or pharmacist should be consulted.
