Description

Isopropyl alcohol 70% v/v Hetterich is a disinfectant used to clean the skin before injections and for hygienic hand disinfection.The solution is quick and easy to use and is therefore ideal for use in the medicine cabinet.It can also be used for cooling, decongestant and disinfectant compresses.

Mode of action

The active ingredient propanol in isopropyl alcohol 70% v/v Hetterich has a killing effect on pathogens.

Active ingredients of isopropyl alcohol 70% v/v Hetterich: 100g solution contains 62.8g 2-propanol.Excipients of isopropyl alcohol 70% v/v Hetterich: purified water.

Areas of application

Isopropyl alcohol 70% v/v Hetterich is used for hygienic and surgical hand disinfection as well as for skin disinfection before simple injections and punctures of peripheral vessels.It can also be used for skin disinfection before operations and before punctures of joints, for disinfection of skin rich in sebaceous glands and for cooling compresses.

Contraindications

If you are hypersensitive to any of the ingredients, the product should not be used.No prescription is required for this product.Isopropyl alcohol 70% v/v Hetterich is not suitable for disinfecting open wounds.

Dosage

For hygienic hand disinfection, the hands are rubbed with the solution and kept moist with the solution for 30 seconds.For surgical hand disinfection, hands and forearms are rubbed with the solution and kept moist for 5 minutes.For disinfection before simple injections and punctures of peripheral vessels, the skin is carefully rubbed with the solution and kept moist for 15 seconds.For disinfection before operations and before punctures of joints, the skin is carefully rubbed with the solution and kept moist for 1 minute.To disinfect skin rich in sebaceous glands, the skin is carefully rubbed with the solution and kept moist for 10 minutes.For cooling compresses, the solution should be diluted with equal parts of water.

Notes

Avoid eye contact.Since isopropyl alcohol 70% v/v Hetterich does not kill spores, the solution is not suitable for storing sterile instruments and syringes.Highly flammable.Keep away from sources of ignition!If the solution is spilled, measures against fire and explosion must be taken immediately.Suitable measures include picking up the spilled liquid and diluting it with water, ventilating the room and eliminating sources of ignition.Please do not use this medicine after the expiry date stated on the pack or outer packaging.The expiry date refers to the last day of the specified month.
