Isopropyl alcohol 70% v/v Hetterich contains the following active ingredients and excipients: 100 grams of the solution contains 62.8 grams of 2-propanol as an active ingredient and purified water as an excipient.

Areas of application

Isopropyl alcohol 70% v/v Hetterich is used for hygienic and surgical hand disinfection, skin disinfection before injections and punctures, as well as for the disinfection of skin rich in sebaceous glands.The solution is also suitable for cooling compresses.

Contraindications

If you are hypersensitive to any of the ingredients, the product should not be used.If the product is inhaled, drowsiness and dizziness may occur.

Application

For hygienic hand disinfection, the hands are rubbed with the solution and kept moist for 30 seconds.For surgical hand disinfection, hands and forearms are rubbed with the solution and kept moist for 5 minutes.For disinfection before simple injections and punctures of peripheral vessels, the skin is carefully rubbed with the solution and kept moist for 15 seconds.Before operations and punctures of joints, the skin is carefully rubbed with the solution and kept moist for 1 minute.To disinfect skin rich in sebaceous glands, the skin is carefully rubbed with the solution and kept moist for 10 minutes.For cooling compresses, dilute the solution with equal parts water.

Notes

Avoid eye contact.Since isopropyl alcohol 70% v/v Hetterich does not kill spores, the solution is not suitable for storing sterile instruments and syringes.
