Dona 250 mg tablets are a medicine used to relieve symptoms of mild to moderate osteoarthritis of the knee joint. They belong to a group of medicines called non-steroidal anti-inflammatory and anti-rheumatic medicines. The recommended dose is 500 mg of glucosamine hemisulphate three times a day, which is equivalent to 3 tablets of Dona 250 mg. The tablets should be taken unchewed with meals with sufficient liquid. Glucosamine is not suitable for the treatment of acute painful symptoms and may take several weeks to provide relief from symptoms, especially pain. If no relief is noted after 2-3 months, further treatment with glucosamine should be reviewed. Store at a temperature not exceeding 25 °C and out of the reach of children. There are some side effects such as gastrointestinal discomfort and hypersensitivity reactions of the skin. People with hypersensitivity to glucosamine or other ingredients should not use Dona 250 mg Tablets. Pregnant and breastfeeding women should also not use the medicine.
