Description

Hepathromb 30,000 is a cream that contains the active ingredient heparin sodium.Heparin is a substance produced naturally in the body that inhibits blood clotting and influences various enzyme reactions.The cream has an anti-inflammatory effect, promotes blood circulation and promotes the regression of superficial bruises, which reduces tissue tension and the associated pain.

Areas of application

The cream is used as a supportive treatment for acute swelling following blunt injuries such as bruises, bruises and sprains.It is also suitable for treating swelling caused by sports or accident injuries.No prescription is required for this product.

Active ingredients and ingredients

The cream contains 30,000 IE heparin sodium, which is obtained from porcine intestinal mucosa.In addition, it contains the following excipients: allantoin, cetostearyl alcohol (emulsifying, type A), dexpanthenol, glycerol, glycerol monostearate 40-55, white petroleum jelly, purified water, methyl 4-hydroxybenzoate and propyl 4-hydroxybenzoate.

Contraindications

The medicine must not be used if you are allergic to heparin or any of the other ingredients in the cream.The cream must also not be used if there is an acute or known history of an allergic drop in the number of blood platelets (thrombocytopenia type II) caused by heparin.

Dosage and application

The cream should be applied thinly and evenly to the affected area 2 to 3 times a day.It should not be used for longer than 10 days unless your doctor tells you otherwise.When used as directed, there are no known symptoms of overdose.If you forget to use an application, do not use a double dose.

Application instructions

The cream is intended to be applied to the skin.It should not be applied to open wounds or weeping eczema.If you experience new symptoms that could indicate a thrombosis or pulmonary embolism, such as swelling, warmth, red and tender skin, tenderness and pain in the foot, calf and back of the knee, or sudden shortness of breath, chest pain and weakness, you should seek medical attention immediately.

Pregnancy and breastfeeding

If you are pregnant or breast-feeding, think you may be pregnant or are planning to have a baby, ask your doctor or pharmacist for advice before using this medicine.Previous experience with use in pregnant and breastfeeding women has shown no evidence of harmful effects.Heparin does not cross the placenta and does not pass into breast milk.The cream must not be used on the breast area while breastfeeding.

Side effects

Like all medicines, this medicine can cause side effects, although not everyone gets them.Possible side effects include allergic reactions to heparin, which may manifest as redness of the skin and itching.In rare cases, hypersensitivity reactions may occur, which usually disappear quickly after discontinuing the preparation.
