Area of application

This medicine contains heparin sodium, an active ingredient from the group of mucopolysaccharides.These substances have an anticoagulant effect and help reduce swelling.The preparation is used to support the treatment of acute swelling following blunt injuries such as bruises and bruises.

The active ingredient in this medicine is heparin sodium, obtained from porcine intestinal mucosa, with a concentration of 30,000 IU per 100 g of cream.The excipients include allantoin, cetostearyl alcohol (emulsifying, type A), dexpanthenol, glycerol, glycerol monostearate 40-55, white petrolatum, purified water, methyl 4-hydroxybenzoate and propyl 4-hydroxybenzoate.

Contraindications

The medicine must not be used if you are allergic to heparin sodium or any of the other ingredients.Its use is also contraindicated if there is a known allergic decrease in the number of blood platelets (thrombocytopenia type II) caused by heparin.

Dosage

Apply the cream thinly and evenly to the affected area 2 to 3 times a day.It should not be used for longer than 10 days unless otherwise prescribed.There are no known symptoms of overdose.Don't forget to carry out the next application as usual.If you have any further questions, contact your doctor or pharmacist.

Patient information

Please talk to your doctor or pharmacist before using the product.The cream should not be applied to open wounds or weeping eczema.If you experience new symptoms that could indicate a thrombosis or pulmonary embolism, such as swelling, warmth, red and tender skin, tenderness and pain in the foot, calf and back of the knee, or sudden shortness of breath, chest pain and weakness, you should seek medical attention immediately.Regular checks of platelet levels are necessary.If medicines that interfere with blood clotting are used at the same time, the risk of bleeding may be increased.Injections into the muscle should be avoided during treatment.

Ability to drive and use machines

There are no known effects on the ability to drive or use machines.

Pregnancy

If you are pregnant or breast-feeding, think you may be pregnant or are planning to have a baby, ask your doctor or pharmacist for advice before using this medicine.Experience to date has not shown any harmful effects.Heparin does not cross the placenta and does not pass into breast milk.The cream must not be used on the breast area while breastfeeding.
