Cefasilymarin film-coated tablets are a herbal medicinal product for the treatment of liver diseases. They are used in chronic inflammatory liver diseases, liver cirrhosis and toxic liver damage. The medicinal product contains milk thistle fruit dry extract as the active substance. The dosage for adolescents from 12 years and adults is 1 tablet 2-3 times a day. The medicine should be taken with liquid. The duration of use depends on the type of symptoms and the course of the disease. Gastrointestinal complaints and hypersensitivity reactions of the skin may occur. In the case of overdose, the side effects may increase. The medicine must not be taken if you are hypersensitive to the ingredients or if you are pregnant. It is not recommended for use during breastfeeding. The ingredients of the milk thistle fruit have liver-protecting and anti-inflammatory properties.
