Cromo-ratiopharm eye drops are a medicine used to treat allergic conjunctivitis. They are used for allergic conjunctivitis, also known as conjunctivitis, for example in hay fever or spring catarrh. The eye drops contain the active ingredient sodium cromoglicate. You should read the leaflet carefully and use the medicine exactly as your doctor or pharmacist has told you. The recommended dose is 1 drop in each eye four times a day. The duration of use is not limited and should be continued as long as you are exposed to the allergens. Possible side effects are burning of the eye, foreign body sensation in the eye, conjunctival swelling and warm sensation in the eye. The medicine must not be used if you are allergic to the active substance or other components of the medicine. Pregnant and breastfeeding women should consult their doctor or pharmacist before use. The medicine impairs visual performance for a short time after use. It also contains a preservative which may cause irritation to the eye. People who wear soft contact lenses should remove them before use and only reinsert them after 15 minutes. The medicine should be stored away from light and used within 4 weeks of opening.
