Lora-ADGC tablets are used to treat allergic rhinitis (e.g. hay fever) and chronic idiopathic urticaria (hives of unknown cause). The active ingredient loratadine belongs to the group of antihistamines. It inhibits the effect of the body's own substance histamine, which is released during allergic reactions. The dosage depends on the age and body weight of the patient. For adults and adolescents 12 years and older, the recommended dose is 1 tablet (10 mg loratadine) once a day. For children from 6 to 12 years, the dosage depends on the body weight. If they weigh more than 30 kg, 1 tablet is also taken once a day. If they weigh 30 kg or less, the tablet strength of 10 mg is not suitable. In patients with severe liver impairment, a starting dose of 1 tablet (10 mg loratadine) every other day is recommended. Lora-ADGC is well tolerated and the effect lasts all day. It can be taken once a day and relieves symptoms such as sneezing, runny nose, itchy eyes, skin redness and itching. It is recommended to take the medicine with water and to take it independently of meals. Lora-ADGC must not be used if you are allergic to loratadine. Possible side effects are headache, nervousness, tiredness, increase in appetite, drowsiness and insomnia. Efficacy and safety in children under 2 years of age have not been established.
