Instructions for use for POSTERISAN Acute ointment with anal dilator, 25 g

Information for use on the article Posterisan Akut Salbe mit Analdehner. Active substance: lidocaine. Indications: For the relief of pain in the anal region before proctological examination; for the relief of itching in the anal region. The ointment is applied thinly 2-3 times daily to the skin and mucous membrane areas to be treated. The maximum dose of 2.5 g ointment per single application must not be exceeded. The ointment may be used for a maximum of 3 days. The medicine must not be used in cases of hypersensitivity to lidocaine or other ingredients, or in children under 18 years of age. Side effects such as itching, burning in the anal area or diarrhoea may occur. Hypersensitivity reactions of the skin may occur.
