Cuticell Classic is an economical solution for the classic treatment of exuding wounds.The sterile ointment compress is impregnated with soft paraffin to largely prevent it from sticking to the wound and to enable gentle dressing changes.Cuticell Classic is free of latex, permeable to air and secretions and promotes wound calm.The impregnation also supports a moist wound environment.The compress is made of open-woven cotton gauze that is impregnated with soft paraffin.

The Cuticell Classic formula is latex-free and is not made with natural rubber latex.

Areas of application

Cuticell Classic is suitable for the treatment of exuding wounds such as first and second degree burns, lacerations and abrasions, leg ulcers as well as skin grafts and split-thickness skin donor sites.

Mode of action

The sterile primary dressing Cuticell Classic consists of acetate threads and a coating of an active ingredient-free ointment based on Eucerit®.This largely prevents it from sticking to the wound.The close-meshed structure ensures that no granulation tissue can grow in.Cuticell Classic is free of latex, does not burden wounds with excess amounts of ointment and is permeable to air and secretions.This means that the wound contact layer minimizes pain when changing dressings and ensures wound rest.

Dosage

Cuticell Classic is intended for short-term use, lasting one to several days.
