Small injuries such as lacerations and abrasions occur frequently in adults and especially in children and often require rapid assistance.However, not all ointments are suitable for children or babies.The Abtei Wundheil Zinc Ointment consists of only a few ingredients and is therefore also suitable for wound healing on the skin of babies and children.Its wound protection formula has a dual effect: antibacterial and wound healing.The zinc it contains inhibits bacterial growth and prevents inflammation.

The Abtei Wundheil Zinc Ointment contains the following ingredients: 100 grams of the ointment contain 10.0 grams of zinc oxide.Other ingredients include white petroleum jelly, thick paraffin, wool wax alcohols, cetostearyl alcohol and butylated hydroxytoluene.

Area of application

Abtei Wundheil Zinc Ointment is traditionally used as a mild medicine to support wound healing.

Dosage

Unless otherwise prescribed by the doctor, Abtei Wundheil Zinc Ointment is applied thinly to the affected area of skin several times a day.The ointment must not be used on large areas of skin.

Intake

The ointment is intended for application to the skin.

Contraindications

If you are known to be hypersensitive to any of the ingredients, the product should not be used.Protect from heat and sunlight.

Patient information

When used in the genital and anal area, the additives petroleum jelly and paraffin can lead to a reduction in the tear resistance of latex condoms, which can impair safety.

Pregnancy

Zinc oxide can be used during breastfeeding if used as intended and following the dosage instructions.However, large areas of application to the breast should be avoided in breastfeeding women.

Notes

Medicines should be kept out of the reach of children.The ointment should not be stored above 25 °C.After opening it has a shelf life of six months.

Contains wool wax alcohols, cetostearyl alcohol and butylated hydroxytoluene.Read the package leaflet.

Please do not use this medicine after the expiry date stated on the pack or outer packaging.The expiry date refers to the last day of the specified month.
