Area of application

The medicine contains the active ingredient crotamiton, which is used against the scabies mite (Scabies scabiei).It is intended for external use on the skin and is used to treat scabies in adults and children.

100 mg crotamiton, carbomer 980, 35 mg cetyl alcohol, isopropyl myristate, 25 mg macrogol glycerol hydroxystearate, sodium hydroxide, 1 mg arnica perfume oil (212924), 3-methyl-4-(2,6,6-trimethylcyclohex-2-en-1-yl)but-3-en-2-one,2-Benzylidenheptanal, benzyl alcohol, benzyl benzoate, benzyl salicylate, citral, citronellol, coumarin, D-limonene, eugenol, farnesol, geraniol, alpha-hexyl cinnamaldehyde, isoeugenol, lilial, linalool, 20 mg propylene glycol, purified water, 20 mg benzyl alcohol.

Contraindications

The medicine must not be used if you are allergic to crotamiton or any of the other ingredients of the product.It is also not applicable for acute, weeping skin rashes (acute exudative dermatitis).

Dosage

Always use this medicine exactly as described or exactly as your doctor or pharmacist tells you.Check with your doctor or pharmacist if you are unsure.The recommended dose is:

Adults and children aged 3 and over: Apply the product thinly to the entire body once a day for three to five consecutive days (evenings) and do not wash off.

Children under 3 years of age, infants and newborns: Apply the medicine thinly to the entire body including the head once a day for three to five consecutive days (evenings) and do not wash off.For children under 3 years of age, use should be carried out under medical supervision.Infants should be treated in hospital and, if necessary, even small children if reliable treatment does not seem possible otherwise.

Close contacts must be carefully identified.If treatment of symptom-free close contacts is medically indicated, they should be treated at the same time as the sick person.

If you have used a larger amount than you should: You can easily remove excess emulsion with water.If you have accidentally used the medicine several times a day or if you have accidentally swallowed the emulsion, you should consult your doctor.

Make sure that the preparation does not come into contact with the conjunctiva.Mucous membranes (mouth, nose) must be avoided when applying.The medicine should be washed off with water after accidental application to mucous membranes.
