Antiscabiosum® 10% for children
Scabies, also known as scabies, was almost eradicated in Germany, but is now becoming more common again. The scabies mite (Sarcoptes scabiei) burrows into the upper layers of the skin, which are visible as fine lines. In these burrows, the mite lays eggs and leaves behind feces, which leads to skin reactions such as eczema, redness, blisters, pustules and severe itching.
Antiscabiosum® 10% for children from their 1st birthday is a non-prescription medicine that is used to kill mites, larvae and their eggs.No prescription is required for this product.

Intake
Unless otherwise directed by your doctor, apply the emulsion to the skin once daily for 3 consecutive days.Afterwards, please stop the treatment, even if the itching still persists.Take the child to a doctor, as a medical follow-up check on the success or failure of the scabies treatment is generally necessary.
Before you start treatment, you should thoroughly clean the child's body (full bath or shower) and, if necessary, shorten his nails. The child may also shower or bathe before using it again on the following two days.Always apply the product only when the skin is completely dry and the body temperature has returned to normal, i.e. after about 60 minutes after showering. For 3 consecutive days, carefully rub the child's body with the medicine from the neck to the toes.Apply the emulsion thinly and distribute it evenly, just as you would a sunscreen. The time interval between applications should be around 24 hours.
Please treat the visibly affected skin areas particularly thoroughly.Carefully rub each finger, each toe and its spaces, all body folds, the chest, the external genitalia (not the mucous membranes), the girdle and buttocks areas. These areas are preferentially attacked by scabies mites.
If your doctor has ordered that the medicine should also be used on the head, you must ensure that you carefully avoid the areas around the eyes, mouth and nose.
If the child washes their hands during the day, the emulsion must be reapplied immediately afterwards.
On the 4th day, you should definitely shower or bathe the child to thoroughly wash the medicine off the skin.
