Patient information
During long-term treatment, serum and urinary calcium levels should be monitored and renal function should be checked by measuring serum creatinine. This is particularly important in elderly patients and during simultaneous treatment with cardiac glycosides and diuretics. This check is also necessary if you have a strong tendency to form stones.
The drug should be used with caution in patients with renal impairment and the effect on calcium and phosphate levels should be monitored. The risk of soft tissue calcification should be taken into account.

The medicine should not be used during pregnancy or breastfeeding due to the high dosage of vitamin D.Overdoses of vitamin D must be avoided during pregnancy, as long-term elevated calcium levels in the blood (hypercalcemia) can lead to physical deformities and mental retardation in the child.
Calcium passes into breast milk in small amounts without having a negative effect on the child. No negative effects on fertility are expected while taking the drug.
