Information for use with the article "Fungizid ratiopharm Extra Creme": Fungizid-ratiopharm Extra Creme with the active substance terbinafine hydrochloride is used to treat fungi and yeasts on the skin. The areas of application include fungal infections of the skin, athlete's foot, fungal infections of the skin with yeasts and skin lichen caused by pityriasis versicolor. The cream is applied once a day for 1 week for athlete's foot and for 1-2 weeks for the other infections mentioned. Before use, the skin should be cleaned and dried, then the cream is applied thinly to the affected and adjacent areas and rubbed in gently. A bandage can be applied to weeping skin areas. Hands should be washed after application and accidental contact with the eyes should be avoided. Side effects such as skin peeling and itching may occur. An overdose is usually harmless, but in case of accidental swallowing of larger amounts, a doctor should be consulted. The medicinal product must not be used if there is hypersensitivity to the ingredients. Use in children under 12 years of age is not recommended.
