Flaxseed

Flaxseed is a herbal swelling agent that helps regulate stools.It is used for digestive problems and can also be used externally to treat wounds.No prescription is required for this product.

Areas of application

Flaxseed is used internally for constipated stools, colon damaged by laxative abuse, irritable bowel syndrome and inflammation of intestinal diverticula.It can also be used in the form of a mucous preparation for inflammation of the stomach lining and intestines.Flaxseed is used externally in the form of a poultice for local inflammation.

Application

In case of constipation, it is recommended to take 1 tablespoon full (approx. 10 g) of uncrushed flax seeds with sufficient liquid (at least 150 ml) 2 to 3 times a day.Children aged 6 - 12 years take half the adult dosage.The effect occurs after 12 - 24 hours.Flaxseed should not be taken immediately before bedtime.

For inflammation of the gastrointestinal tract, mucus prepared from 1 tablespoon of crushed or uncrushed flaxseed and 150 ml of liquid is taken 2 to 3 times a day.It is beneficial to drink another glass of liquid.

During therapy with linseed, it is important to ensure adequate fluid intake, 1.5 to 2 liters daily.You should also leave an interval of ½ to 1 hour between taking medication.

For external use, 30 - 50 g of linseed flour are used to prepare a moist, hot poultice.

The duration of use is in principle not limited.In the case of acute symptoms that last longer than 1 week or recur periodically, we recommend consulting a doctor.If you have constipated stools, you should see a doctor if the constipation is not resolved within 3 days.

Notes

If constipation and stool irregularities persist, as well as persistent, unclear or new symptoms in the gastrointestinal area, a medical clarification is required.If the edges of the wound are severely red, weeping or suppurating, you should see a doctor.Please do not use this medicine after the expiry date stated on the pack or outer packaging.The expiry date refers to the last day of the specified month.
