The Cutimed® PROTECT applicator was developed to be applied specifically to wound edges and the surrounding skin.It forms a reliable barrier that is permeable to water vapor and oxygen and covers the skin like a protective shield.This medical skin protection is an important component in the treatment of chronic wounds and supports wound healing in all phases.Good wound edge protection not only improves healing, but also the patient's quality of life.

The applicator has a prophylactic effect on intact or already irritated skin areas and protects them from maceration by body fluids for up to 96 hours.Due to its alcohol- and perfume-free formulation, it is particularly gentle on the skin and is therefore also suitable for use on children.

Ingredients

The Cutimed® PROTECT applicator consists of a polymer solution made of disiloxane and acrylate copolymer.

Duration of application

The duration of use depends on the respective indication, for example when cleaning.
