Information for use with the article Vitamin B12 Depot Hevert: - Active substance: hydroxocobalamin acetate. - Indications: Vitamin B12 deficiency that cannot be corrected by dietary means. - Risks and side-effects are described in the package leaflet. - Vitamin B12 deficiency can manifest itself in certain clinical pictures, such as hyperchromic macrocytic megaloblastic anaemia and funicular spinal disease. - Causes of vitamin B12 deficiency include malnutrition, malabsorption in the intestine, congenital vitamin B12 transport disorders. - Recommended dosage: At the beginning of treatment, 1 ml of Vitamin B12 Depot Hevert twice a week, then 100 µg of hydroxocobalamin acetate once a month. - Information about shelf life and storage: Do not use the medicinal product after the expiry date. Note from our pharmacists: - Supply in household quantities with a maximum of 15 packs per quarter. - Possibility of setting maximum quantities for certain medicines for safety reasons.
