Mode of action

The active ingredient oxymetazoline hydrochloride contained in WICK Sinex avera nasal spray has vasoconstricting properties.The stuffy nose is cleared of mucus and breathing becomes easier.A small proportion of essential oils also ensures a gentle feeling of freshness.The moisture regulator sorbitol and aloe vera prevent the nasal mucosa from drying out.

WICK Sinex avera nasal spray contains:

0.5mg/ml oxymetazoline hydrochloride (equivalent to 0.439 mg oxymetazoline) and cineole.

Other ingredients of WICK Sinex avera nasal spray are:

Acesulfame potassium, Aloes extractum, benzalkonium chloride, chlorhexidine digluconate, citric acid, disodium edetate, levomenthol, sodium citrate 2H2O, sodium hydroxide, sorbitol, tyloxapol and purified water.

Contraindications

This product should not be used in cases of known hypersensitivity to any of the ingredients, dry inflammation of the nasal mucosa (rhinitis sicca), children under 6 years of age, pregnancy or breastfeeding.Take special care and only take under medical supervision for chronic colds, glaucoma, severe cardiovascular diseases, metabolic disorders, pheochromocytoma, prostatic hyperplasia, porphyria, patients who are being treated with MAO-inhibitors and other potentially blood pressure-increasing drugs.

Dosage

Recommended use of WICK Sinex avera nasal spray:

Adults and children aged 6 and over spray WICK Sinex avera nasal spray once every 7-10 hours into each side of the nose if necessary.The use of WICK Sinex avera nasal spray should be limited to a maximum of 3 applications per day.The product must not be used for longer than 5-7 days without medical advice.Reapplication should only be carried out after a break of several days.The duration of use for children is generally determined by a doctor.Be sure to avoid long-term use and overdose, especially in children.

Application

Adults and children over 10 years: 1-2 sprays in each nostril, maximum 2-3 times daily.Children 6-10 years: 1 spray in each nostril, maximum 2-3 times daily.
