Directions for use of the article Corneregel Fluid Eye Drops Important information (compulsory information): Corneregel Fluid eye drops. Active substance: dexpanthenol. Indications: For the supportive treatment of healing of skin and mucous membrane lesions of the eye in so-called "dry eye" (conjunctivitis sicca or keratoconjunctivitis sicca). Warnings: Contains phosphates. For risks and side effects, read the package leaflet and ask your doctor or pharmacist. Corneregel Fluid Eye Drops contains the active ingredient dexpanthenol and is used for the supportive treatment of dry eyes. It promotes the healing of skin and mucous membrane damage of the eye. Before use, patients should be informed of any allergic reactions or hypersensitivity to dexpanthenol or other ingredients. Corneregel Fluid should not be used if irritation of the eye, such as redness, burning or a foreign body sensation, already occurs. It contains the preservative cetrimide, which may cause irritation in some patients. The use of Corneregel Fluid together with other medicines is usually safe, but a time interval of about 15 minutes should be observed between the applications of different preparations. During the use of Corneregel Fluid, contact lenses should not be worn as incompatibilities with the lens material may occur. Corneregel Fluid should be used until the symptoms improve and the recommended dosage is 1 drop 3-5 times a day or more frequently and before going to bed. Possible side effects include irritation of the eyes, such as redness, pain, increased lacrimation, itching, foreign body sensation and swelling. In very rare cases, clouding of the cornea may occur due to calcium deposits. Corneregel Fluid should be kept out of the reach of children and should not be used after the expiry date. Do not dispose of the medicine in the waste water. In addition to dexpanthenol, the composition of Corneregel Fluid includes the preservative cetrimide and other excipients. The active substance dexpanthenol promotes the healing of injured skin and mucous membranes and compensates for a deficiency of pantothenic acid. There are no known interactions with other medicinal products. During pregnancy and breast-feeding, the benefits should be weighed against any possible risk before using Corneregel Fluid. Temporary blurred vision or other visual impairment may occur, so do not drive or operate machinery during this time.
