Corneregel Fluid eye drops contain the active ingredient dexpanthenol and are used for the supportive treatment of skin and mucous membrane lesions of the eye in dry eyes. It contains the preservative cetrimide, which can cause irritation of the eye and damage the corneal epithelium if used for a long time. If such irritations occur, it is recommended to switch to preparations without preservatives. Corneregel Fluid must not be used if you are allergic to dexpanthenol or any of the other ingredients of the medicine. Consult a doctor before use if you wear contact lenses, as incompatibilities with the lens material may occur. Corneregel Fluid is available in dropper bottles and is used 3-5 times a day or more frequently and before bedtime. It should be dripped into the conjunctival sac, with a duration of use until the symptoms improve. So far, only side effects in exceptional cases have been reported, such as redness, pain, itching and swelling of the eyes. The medicinal product should be stored away from heat and used within 6 weeks after opening. Interactions with other medicinal products are not known. In case of pregnancy or breastfeeding, a doctor should be consulted before use. The exact dosage and instructions for use should be taken from the package leaflet. In addition to dexpanthenol, the composition also contains cetrimide, disodium edetate-2-water, hypromellose, disodium hydrogen phosphate-12-water, sodium dihydrogen phosphate-2-water and water for injection. Dexpanthenol heals injured skin and mucous membranes by compensating for the lack of vitamin pantothenic acid. When using it, possible interactions with other medicinal products should be taken into account. It is recommended to inform the doctor or pharmacist about medicinal products already in use before starting treatment with new medicinal products.
