Directions for use for Ankermann 1000 µg: Ankermann 1000 µg is a vitamin B12 preparation with the active substance cyanocobalamin. It is used to treat vitamin B12 deficiency that cannot be corrected by dietary means. Such a deficiency can lead to blood formation disorders, anaemia and disorders of the nervous system. Vitamin B12 deficiency can manifest itself in various clinical pictures, such as hyperchromic macrocytic megaloblastic anaemia or funicular spinal disease. The dosage of Ankermann 1000 µg depends on the doctor's instructions. At the beginning of treatment, 1 ampoule is administered 1-2 times a week for the first two weeks after diagnosis, corresponding to 1000-2000 µg cyanocobalamin per week. If there is evidence of a vitamin B12 absorption disorder in the intestine, 100 µg of cyanocobalamin is then administered once a month. Ankermann 1000 µg is usually administered intramuscularly, but can also be given slowly intravenously or subcutaneously. The duration of use of Ankermann 1000 µg should be discussed with the doctor. The medicine should be kept away from light and inaccessible to children. One ampoule with 1 ml injection solution contains 1000 µg cyanocobalamin.
