Biolectra Magnesium 243 mg forte effervescent tablets are used to treat neuromuscular disorders and calf cramps caused by magnesium deficiency. The effervescent tablets contain the active ingredient magnesium and are taken dissolved in water. The dosage varies according to age and is one effervescent tablet once a day for children from 6 years of age and one effervescent tablet once or twice a day for adolescents and adults. The duration of use depends on the severity of the magnesium deficiency. Side effects such as soft stools, gastrointestinal complaints, diarrhoea and exhaustion may occur. In addition to magnesium, the effervescent tablets also contain sodium, potassium and sorbitol. Before use, the package leaflet should be read and a doctor or pharmacist should be consulted in case of uncertainty. They should be stored away from moisture.
