Dobendan® Direkt is a pain-relieving and anti-inflammatory medicine in the form of suckable throat lozenges with a honey-lemon flavor.The active ingredient flurbiprofen provides up to 4 hours of relief from sore throats, which are often due to inflammation of the throat mucosa.If you have a cold, you may also experience redness and swelling, which can lead to difficulty swallowing.

Contraindications

If you are known to be hypersensitive to any of the ingredients, this product should not be used.It must not be taken if you regularly take ASS 100 mg or are allergic to ASS or related painkillers, if you have known or acute kidney, heart or liver failure, if you have stomach ulcers or bleeding in the gastrointestinal area, if you have blood clotting disorders, if you are taking other painkillers at the same time, in the first three months of pregnancy and in children under 12 years of age.

Dosage

Adults and children aged 12 and over can, if necessary, take a lozenge every 3-6 hours, allowing it to slowly dissolve in the mouth.The maximum daily dose is 5 tablets.The product should not be used for longer than 3 days without medical advice.

Intake

Take a lozenge and let it slowly dissolve in your mouth.Move the tablet around in your mouth while sucking.

Patient information

Particular caution is required for asthma, bacterial infections, kidney or liver problems, heart problems, risk of stroke, high blood pressure, chronic autoimmune diseases, regular headaches, serious skin diseases and advanced age.Use may be associated with a slightly increased risk of heart attack or stroke.Do not exceed the recommended dose or treatment duration of 3 days.The medicine should not affect the ability to drive a vehicle or use machines.

Pregnancy

The medicine can impair fertility in women; this effect is reversible after discontinuation.If used occasionally it is unlikely to affect your ability to become pregnant.The medicine must not be used in the last 3 months of pregnancy.In the first 6 months of pregnancy or while breastfeeding, a doctor should be consulted before use.

Special warnings about Dobendan® Direct

Its use may potentially lead to a small increase in the risk of strokes and heart attacks.The likelihood increases with higher doses and prolonged treatment duration.Do not exceed the recommended treatment duration of a maximum of 3 days.If you have a history of heart problems or a stroke, treatment should be clarified by a doctor.The medicine should not be used after the expiry date stated on the package.
