Information for use of the article Heparin-ratiopharm Sport-Gel. Active substance: heparin sodium. Heparin-ratiopharm Sport-Gel is used for the supportive treatment of acute swelling after injuries such as bruises, haematomas and superficial phlebitis. It contains fragrances and must not be applied to open or inflamed skin areas. In case of new symptoms suggestive of thrombosis or pulmonary embolism, a doctor should be consulted immediately. The recommended dose is to apply thinly and evenly to the diseased area 2-3 times a day for a maximum of 10 days. Side effects are rare but may include allergic skin reactions. The gel should not be used if you are allergic to heparin, fragrances or other ingredients. Pregnant and breastfeeding women should consult a doctor. The pack size is 50, 100 or 150 g.
