Instructions for use of the article Tegaderm Foam FK 10x10cm: - Tegaderm Foam FK 10x10cm is a foam dressing used for moderately to heavily exuding wounds. - The dressing measures 10 x 10cm and comes in a pack of 10. - It is characterised by its high and fast absorption capacity, as well as its softness, conformability and comfort. - The dressing is permeable to air and water vapour, dimensionally stable and pressure-resistant, and provides a secure barrier against liquids and germs. - It is breathable, soft and cuddly and can also be used in special sizes for gaiter ulcers. - The patented adhesive-free bond with the water vapour permeable barrier membrane allows the dressing to provide excellent exudate management and can be worn for up to 7 days. - Tegaderm Foam is suitable for moderately to heavily exuding, superficial to deep wounds such as leg ulcers, decubitus ulcers, diabetic foot syndrome, 1st and 2nd degree burns, split skin sites, lacerations, abrasions and neuropathic ulcers. - When applied, the soft foam dressings should overlap the intact skin by about 2.5 cm. - Infected wounds require additional treatment and more frequent dressing changes. - The foam dressing can be used as an absorbent secondary dressing over wound fillers such as alginates. - A dressing change is recommended when the exudate is clearly visible under the transparent film on the back of the dressing or when the dressing comes off, but after 7 days at the latest. - The dressing is manufactured by Fresenius Kabi Deutschland GmbH in Bad Homburg v.d.Hh.
