Directions for use of Tegaderm Foam FK 20x20cm - The Tegaderm Foam dressing measures 20 x 20 cm and contains 5 pieces. - The dressing is soft, supple and comfortable. - It is permeable to air and water vapour and is dimensionally stable and pressure-resistant. - The Tegaderm Foam dressing provides a secure barrier against liquids and germs. - The dressing is non-adhesive and breathable. - It can also be used specifically for gaiter ulcers. - Tegaderm Foam is a breathable dressing for moderately to heavily exuding wounds. - The foam dressing has a high and fast absorption capacity. - Due to the patented, adhesive-free bond with the water vapour permeable barrier membrane, it enables excellent exudate management. - The dressing can be worn for up to 7 days. - Indications for the use of the dressing are moderately to heavily exuding, superficial to deep wounds such as leg ulcers, decubital ulcers, diabetic foot syndrome, burns, split skin sites, lacerations, abrasions and neuropathic ulcers. - It is recommended that the soft foam dressing compresses overlap the intact skin by approximately 2.5 cm. - Infected wounds require supplementary treatment and more frequent dressing changes. - The foam dressing can be used as an absorbent secondary dressing over wound fillers such as alginates. - A dressing change is recommended when the exudate is clearly visible under the transparent film on the back of the dressing or the dressing comes off, but after 7 days at the latest. - The Tegaderm Foam dressing is manufactured by Fresenius Kabi Deutschland GmbH.
