The dressing balances changing amounts of exudate to maintain the moisture balance for an optimal wound environment.The self-adhesive film layer serves as a protective barrier against external contaminants, including bacteria and viruses.In vitro testing shows that the transparent film provides protection against viruses with a diameter of 27 nm or larger as long as the dressing remains intact and tight.
