Pulmonest Drops, 50 ml

Indications

This herbal medicine is used to relieve symptoms of respiratory tract infections with thick mucus and to improve the symptoms of acute bronchitis.No prescription is required for this product.

Active Ingredients

The fluid extract contains thyme herb fluid extract as the active ingredient.The excipients include 10% ammonia solution, 90% (v/v) ethanol, 85% glycerol, and purified water.The preparation contains 33.5% alcohol by volume.

Contraindications

Pulmonest must not be taken if you are hypersensitive to thyme or other members of the mint family (Lamiaceae), birch, mugwort, celery, or any of the other ingredients of the medicine.Due to its alcohol content, Pulmonest should only be used by people with liver disease, epilepsy, or organic brain disorders after consulting a doctor.Due to insufficient data, Pulmonest should not be used during pregnancy or while breastfeeding.

Precautions and Warnings

If symptoms persist for more than one week, or if shortness of breath, fever, or purulent or bloody sputum occurs, a doctor should be consulted immediately.There are insufficient studies on the use of Pulmonest in children under 12 years of age; therefore, it should not be used in this age group.

No interactions with other medications are currently known.

Dosage Instructions

Adults and adolescents aged 12 years and older should take 2-4 ml in a little water 3-4 times daily, unless otherwise prescribed.It should be taken after or between meals.The duration of treatment depends on the course of the illness and should be determined by a doctor.

Side Effects

Very rarely, hypersensitivity reactions such as shortness of breath, skin rashes, hives, and swelling of the face, mouth, and/or throat may occur.Very rarely, stomach problems such as cramps, nausea, and vomiting may also occur.If side effects occur, the product should be discontinued and a doctor consulted.

Storage Information

Do not use the product after the expiry date printed on the container and outer packaging.Once opened, the product is stable for 6 months.Do not store above 25°C.
