Information for use of the article PULMONEST: PULMONEST Drops contain Thymus vulgaris L. as active substance. Indications are colds of the respiratory tract, especially with viscous mucus, and supportive treatment of cough. However, it should be noted that PULMONEST contains 33.5% alcohol by volume. The package leaflet provides further information on risks and side effects. The dosage for adolescents 12 years and older and adults is 2-4 ml 3-4 times daily after or between meals. The total dose should not be exceeded without consulting a doctor or pharmacist. The medicine is usually taken diluted with water or tea and should not be used for longer than 1 week unless a doctor recommends longer use. Contraindications for the use of PULMONEST are hypersensitivity to the ingredients and the age of the patients (children under 12 years, pregnant and breastfeeding women).
