1 coated tablet of Valerian-ratiopharm® coated tablet contains: 450 mg dry extract of valerian (3-6:1), extractant is ethanol 70% (V/V).Other ingredients: Arabic gum, calcium carbonate, bleached wax, croscarmellose sodium, carnauba wax, cellulose powder, glucose syrup, shellac (bleached and dewaxed), highly disperse silicon oxide, stearic acid, talc, tragacanth, titanium dioxide, indigo carmine.

Contraindications

If you are known to be hypersensitive to any of the above ingredients, the product should not be used.Because the product has a gradual onset of action, it is not suitable for acute treatment.Children under 12 years of age, pregnant women and breastfeeding women are also not allowed to take the product as there are no sufficient studies available.

Dosage

Recommended use of Valerian-ratiopharm® coated tablet: As an adult and adolescent from 12 years of age, you can take Valerian-ratiopharm® coated tablet up to 3 times a day to calm you down.Valerian-ratiopharm® coated tablets can be taken whole and with plenty of liquid (a glass of water).If possible, try not to take alcohol while using Valerian-ratiopharm® coated tablet.If you have sleep disorders, you should take Valerian-ratiopharm® coated tablet half an hour before going to bed.If another tablet coated with Valerian-ratiopharm® is necessary, you can also take an additional tablet coated with Valerian-ratiopharm® early in the evening.A single dose corresponds to 2-3 g of valerian root.Keep this in mind if you suffer from liver/kidney dysfunction.

For optimal treatment success, we recommend taking Valerian-ratiopharm® coated tablets continuously for 2-4 weeks.If your symptoms have not improved after 2 weeks or have even gotten worse, please consult a doctor.

Valerian ratiopharm® coated tablets contain sucrose and glucose.Valerian ratiopharm® coated tablets can impair the ability to drive and operate machines.This applies to an increased extent when taken with alcohol.
