To calm you down, you can take one tablet up to three times a day.To make it easier to fall asleep, take one tablet half an hour to an hour before bedtime.The tablets are suitable for teenagers aged 12 and over and adults.

One coated tablet of Valerian-ratiopharm® contains 450 mg dry extract of valerian (3-6:1), with ethanol 70% (V/V) serving as the extractant.Other ingredients include gum arabic, calcium carbonate, bleached wax, croscarmellose sodium, carnauba wax, cellulose powder, glucose syrup, shellac (bleached and dewaxed), highly dispersed silica, stearic acid, talc, tragacanth, titanium dioxide and indigo carmine.

Contraindications

If you are known to be hypersensitive to any of the ingredients, the product should not be used.The product is not suitable for acute treatment as it has a gradual effect.Children under 12 years of age, pregnant women and breastfeeding women are not allowed to take the product as there are no sufficient studies.

Dosage

Adults and adolescents aged 12 and over can take Valerian-ratiopharm®-coated tablets up to three times a day to calm them down.The tablets should be swallowed whole and with plenty of liquid.Alcohol should be avoided if possible during use.

If you have trouble sleeping, it is recommended to take one tablet half an hour before going to bed.If necessary, an additional tablet can be taken during the evening.A single dose corresponds to 2-3 g of valerian root, which should be taken into account in cases of liver or kidney dysfunction.

For optimal treatment success, continuous intake over 2-4 weeks is recommended.If the symptoms have not improved after 2 weeks or have even gotten worse, a doctor should be consulted.

Valerian ratiopharm® coated tablets contain sucrose and glucose.They can impair the ability to drive and use machines.This effect can be increased by additional alcohol intake.
