Summary: Valerian-ratiopharm coated tablets are a herbal medicinal product for sedation and are used for mild nervous tension and sleep disorders. The tablets contain valerian root dry extract as the active substance. It is recommended to take the tablets unchewed and with sufficient liquid. The recommended dose for adults and adolescents aged 12 and over is one coated tablet up to 3 times a day for calming and one coated tablet half an hour to an hour before bedtime for nervous tension and sleep disorders. The maximum amount to be taken per day is 4 tablets. The medicine should not be used by people with known hypersensitivity to any of the ingredients. It is also recommended not to take alcohol during use. The product must not be taken by children under 12 years of age, pregnant women and nursing mothers. The duration of use is not limited, but continuous use for 2-4 weeks is recommended. If symptoms persist or worsen, a doctor should be consulted. The tablets contain sucrose and glucose.
