Area of application

Cystinol long capsules are a herbal medicine for flushing the urinary tract.It is used for flushing out inflammatory diseases of the urinary tract, urinary stones and kidney grit, and for preventive treatment of urinary stones and kidney grit.No prescription is required for this product.

Active ingredients / ingredients / ingredients

The capsules contain dry extract of goldenrod as the active ingredient (424.8 mg) with an extraction ratio of 5-7:1 and ethanol 30% (m/m) as an extractant.The excipients included are cellulose powder, magnesium stearate (vegetable), silicon dioxide, methylated silicon dioxide, starch, gelatin, sodium dodecyl sulfate, indigo carmine, titanium dioxide and iron oxides and hydroxides.

Contraindications

The medicine must not be taken if you are known to be hypersensitive to goldenrod or any of the other ingredients.A flushing treatment must not be carried out if there is water retention (edema) as a result of restricted heart or kidney activity.The medicine should not be used in children under 12 years of age.Its use is not recommended during pregnancy and breastfeeding.

Dosage

Always take the medicine exactly as directed.Unless otherwise prescribed by the doctor, the usual dose for adults and adolescents aged 12 and over is 1 hard capsule 3 to 4 times daily.The duration of use depends on the type, severity and course of the disease.If you have long-lasting or recurring symptoms, you should consult your doctor.

Intake

Take the hard capsules whole after meals with plenty of liquid (e.g. 1 glass of water).Make sure you drink plenty of fluids throughout the day, otherwise the medicine will not work properly.The daily drinking amount should be 1.5 to 2 liters, provided there is no heart or kidney dysfunction.

Patient information

Particular caution is required if there is blood in the urine, fever or persistent symptoms for more than 5 days.In these cases you should consult a doctor.There are no sufficient studies available for use in children under 12 years of age.There are no known impairments to the ability to drive or use machines.

Pregnancy

There are no sufficient studies on use during pregnancy and breastfeeding.The medicine should therefore not be used during pregnancy or breastfeeding.

Other

If you have blood in your urine, fever or symptoms that persist for more than 5 days, you should see a doctor.The daily fluid intake during treatment and subsequent preventive measures must be such that at least 1.5 liters of urine are excreted over the course of 24 hours.At least 2 liters of fluid should be drunk every day, provided there is no heart or kidney dysfunction.

Storage

Keep medicines out of the reach of children.The medicine must not be used after the expiry date stated on the outer carton and blister pack.It should not be stored above 30ºC.
