Description

Doppel Spalt® COMPACT is a painkilling and fever-reducing medicine that is used for mild to moderate pain.It contains the proven active ingredient acetylsalicylic acid (ASS), which has been known for its effectiveness for decades, as well as caffeine, which enhances the effect of ASS and accelerates the onset of action.The medicine has a pain-relieving, fever-reducing and anti-inflammatory effect.No prescription is required for this product.

Active ingredients and ingredients

One tablet of Doppel Spalt® COMPACT contains 500 mg acetylsalicylic acid and 50 mg caffeine as active ingredients.In addition, the medicine contains corn starch and microcrystalline cellulose as other ingredients.

Areas of application

Doppel Spalt® COMPACT is used for acute mild to moderate pain such as headaches, rheumatic pain, inflammation, fever and colds.

Dosage and intake

Adults can take one tablet of Doppel Spalt® COMPACT 1-3 times a day, approximately 6 hours apart.The maximum daily dose is 6 tablets.The tablet should not be taken on an empty stomach but after meals.It can be taken with liquid or dissolved in water.You should then drink plenty of fluids.Without medical or dental advice, the medication should not be taken for longer than 3 to 4 days or in larger quantities.

Contraindications

Doppel Spalt® COMPACT must not be used if you are known to be hypersensitive to one of the components, if you have stomach and intestinal ulcers or if you have a pathologically increased tendency to bleeding.Infants, small children and children under 12 years of age as well as pregnant women must not take the medicine.If you are hypersensitive to other anti-inflammatory drugs, painkillers and rheumatism medications, if you are taking anticoagulant medications at the same time, if you have asthma, chronic or recurring stomach or duodenal problems, previously damaged kidneys, severe liver dysfunction and children and adolescents with fever, the medicine should only be taken under medical supervision.Caution is advised if uric acid levels are elevated, as the drug reduces uric acid excretion and can therefore potentially trigger a gout attack.

Pregnancy and breastfeeding

During pregnancy and breastfeeding, medications should only be taken after consultation with a doctor or pharmacist.Doppel Spalt® COMPACT should not be taken in the first and second trimesters of pregnancy.The medicine must not be taken in the last trimester of pregnancy as it can prolong the pregnancy and inhibit labor.An increased tendency to bleeding has been observed in mother and child.If the drug is taken shortly before birth, bleeding into the cranial cavity can occur, especially in premature babies.A certain heart defect (Ductus arteriosus botalli) can occur in the unborn child.Acetylcysteine passes into breast milk in small amounts.During breastfeeding, the infant's well-being and behavior can be affected by caffeine ingested through breast milk.If you take the recommended amount for a short period of time, you do not need to stop breastfeeding.If you take larger amounts for a long time, you should stop breastfeeding.

Notes

If taken before operations, the doctor or dentist must be informed.Dizziness and ringing in the ears can be signs of an overdose, especially in children and the elderly.In these cases, the doctor should be notified.In the case of liver and kidney disorders, the amount must be reduced or the interval between doses must be extended.Long-term use of painkillers, especially when taking multiple painkilling medications at the same time, can cause permanent kidney damage with the risk of kidney failure.If the recommended intake amounts are exceeded, liver values may increase.Therefore, regular monitoring of liver values is necessary, especially in children.
