Area of application

The preparation is a vitamin B12 preparation.Cyanocobalamin belongs to the group of substances collectively known as “vitamin B12”.It is used for vitamin B12 deficiency that cannot be corrected through diet.Such a deficiency can manifest itself in various clinical pictures, such as hyperchromic macrocytic megaloblastic anemia or funicular spinal disease.A vitamin B12 deficiency confirmed by laboratory diagnosis can occur due to years of malnutrition and malnutrition, malabsorption in the intestine, insufficient production of intrinsic factor, diseases in the end section of the ileum, fish tapeworm infestation, blind loop syndrome or congenital vitamin B12 transport disorders.

Contraindications

Dosage

Always use the medicine exactly as directed.Please ask your doctor or pharmacist if you are not sure.Unless otherwise prescribed by the doctor, the usual dose is: At the start of treatment, 1 ml (1 ampoule) is administered once or twice a week in the first two weeks after diagnosis, corresponding to 1000 - 2000 µg cyanocobalamin per week.If a vitamin B12 absorption disorder in the intestine is proven, 100 µg cyanocobalamin is then administered once a month.The medicine is intended for long-term use.Please consult your doctor about this.

Intake

The medicine is usually administered intramuscularly (injected into a muscle).It can also be given slowly intravenously or subcutaneously (injected into a vein or under the skin).
