Antiscabiosum 10% for children is an emulsion for the treatment of scabies in children over 6 years of age. It contains the active ingredient benzyl benzoate and can be used as a less toxic agent as an alternative to adequately studied antiscabiosa. Children from 1 to 6 years of age may only be treated if there is no additional skin damage and treatment is under medical supervision. The emulsion should be applied to the affected areas of skin 1 time daily for 3 consecutive days, even if itching persists. It is important to clean the body thoroughly before application and to apply the emulsion thinly and evenly from neck to toes. The visibly affected areas of the skin should be treated particularly thoroughly. The child's worn clothing and bedding should be changed and washed daily. Antiscabiosum 10% should not be used for longer than 3 days. If symptoms persist, a doctor should be consulted. The emulsion should be protected from heat and kept out of the reach of children.
