Directions for use of the article Optovit fortissimum 500 I.E. Capsules: Optovit fortissimum 500 is a high-dose vitamin E preparation from HERMES Arzneimittel GmbH. It contains 500 I.U. of natural vitamin E and is suitable for the treatment of vitamin E deficiency. Optovit fortissimum 500 is not suitable for the treatment of vitamin E deficiency associated with impaired absorption of vitamin E from the intestine. In these cases, parenteral (injectable) preparations are available. The medicinal product contains sorbitol and soya oil (PhEur.) and should be used after consulting a doctor or pharmacist.
