Rhinopront Kombi tablets are a combination preparation for the treatment of rhinitis with a blocked nose. It contains the active ingredients pseudoephedrine HCl and triprolidine HCl 1 H2O. Pseudoephedrine acts as a decongestant, while triprolidine has anti-allergic properties and reduces the discomfort of allergic reactions of the nasal mucosa. The medicine is used in adolescents from 12 years of age and adults up to 60 years of age. It should be taken as directed by the doctor or pharmacist. The usual dose is 1 tablet 3 times a day. The intake should be stopped after the symptoms have subsided. The duration of treatment is about 3 to 5 days for acute rhinitis and a maximum of 10 days for allergic or vasomotor rhinitis. Side effects such as high blood pressure, accelerated pulse, sleep disturbances and drying of the mucous membranes may occur. The medicine must not be taken by people who are hypersensitive, have certain pre-existing conditions or are taking certain other medicines.
