Suprasorb A + Ag compresses are used to treat infected wounds that are at risk of infection.They act directly in the wound bed to reduce the bacterial load, including in infections with MRSA or VRE.The compresses are soft and cuddly, adapt optimally to the wound base and are particularly suitable for heavily exuding wounds.When they come into contact with exudate, they form a gel that absorbs bacteria and germs.This moist wound climate supports the cleaning of the wound and promotes wound healing.

Areas of application

Suprasorb A + Ag should be used on the following types of wounds:

Pressure ulcers, arterial ulcers, venous ulcers, diabetic ulcers, postoperative wounds and split-thickness skin donor sites.

Properties

The bandage is characterized by broad antimicrobial effectiveness, including against MRSA and VRE.It promotes wound healing thanks to its high exudate absorption capacity, adapts to any wound base and creates a moist wound climate that contributes to reducing the germ load.

Notes

The intervals for changing the dressing of Suprasorb A + Ag are determined by the attending physician.Depending on the degree of exudation, the wound dressing can remain on or in the wound for up to seven days.In the case of infections, an occlusive secondary dressing should only be used after a doctor's decision and taking the overall situation into account.

Material composition

The dressing consists of calcium alginate fiber and silver alginate fiber with a content of 1.5% ionic silver.
