The Suprasorb P is available in various versions including self-adhesive, non-adhesive, sacrum, heel and finger/toe.The self-adhesive version also has a skin-friendly adhesive edge.

Areas of application

The Suprasorb P is suitable for a variety of wounds, including moderately exuding wounds and superficial wounds.It can be used for acute wounds such as split-thickness skin donor sites and postoperative wounds as well as for chronic wounds such as decubitus ulcers, leg ulcers and diabetic ulcers.The dressing supports wound healing in different phases, including the exudation phase, granulation phase and epithelialization phase.

Notes

The dressing change interval is determined by the treating physician depending on the condition of the wound, degree of exudation and secondary dressing and should take place after 5-7 days at the latest.As soon as the discoloration reaches the edge of the wound, the dressing should be changed.Suprasorb P can be used as a secondary dressing for wounds at risk of infection as part of regular antimicrobial therapy.When dry, the dressing can be easily cut to the individual wound size and should overlap the wound edges by around 2 cm.
