Instructions for use for Suprasorb P PU-foam 18x20.5cm sacrum self-adhesive, 4 pcs
Product features
Suprasorb P PU-foam dressing is a high-quality wound dressing that was specially developed for the treatment of wounds. The dressing consists of a fine-pored polyurethane foam that has an excellent capillary effect and absorbs wound exudate quickly and safely. The wound contact layer is particularly gentle and is therefore also suitable for easily vulnerable surfaces and healing wounds. The semi-permeable carrier layer ensures an ideal moist wound environment that promotes natural healing.Even after liquid has been absorbed, the bandage remains dimensionally stable and is bacteria-proof and waterproof.Suprasorb P is easy to use, soft and comfortable to wear.
Suprasorb P is available in different versions: non-adhesive, self-adhesive, sacrum, heel and finger/toe.The self-adhesive version also has a skin-friendly adhesive edge.
Areas of application
Suprasorb P is suitable for the treatment of moderately exuding wounds and superficial wounds. It can be used for acute wounds such as split-thickness skin donor sites and postoperative wounds as well as for chronic wounds such as decubitus ulcers, leg ulcers and diabetic ulcers. The dressing is applicable in various wound healing phases, including the exudation phase, the granulation phase and the epithelialization phase.
Properties
Suprasorb P is characterized by very good wound healing, which is guaranteed by reliable exudate management. The high level of comfort is achieved by the soft and supple structure of the bandage. The perforated wound contact layer prevents sticking to the wound. The bacteria- and liquid-repellent polyurethane membrane maintains a moist wound healing environment and thus promotes natural healing. The anatomical shape makes it easier to treat hard-to-reach areas.
Notes
The dressing change interval is determined by the treating physician depending on the condition of the wound, degree of exudation and secondary dressing and should take place after 5-7 days at the latest. As soon as the discoloration reaches the edge of the wound, the dressing should be changed.Suprasorb P can be used as a secondary dressing for wounds at risk of infection as part of regular antimicrobial therapy. When dry, Suprasorb P can be easily tailored to the individual wound size. The bandage should overlap the wound edges by approximately 2 cm.
