Summary: Reisegold tabs are a medicine for the prevention and treatment of travel sickness. The active substance dimenhydrinate belongs to the group of H1 antihistamines and is effective against nausea and vomiting. The medicine must not be taken in case of hypersensitivity to dimenhydrinate or other antihistamines, in pregnancy, in premature and newborn babies, in case of enlargement of the prostate gland with residual urine formation and in case of increased intraocular pressure. The dosage of Reisegold tabs varies according to age. Children from 6 to 12 years of age take 1/2 to 1 tablet every 6 to 8 hours, but not more than 3 tablets per day. Adolescents from 12 years and adults take 1-2 tablets 3-6 times a day, but not more than 6 tablets a day. Take before meals with plenty of liquid. Various side effects may occur, such as drowsiness, dizziness, central nervous system disorders, gastrointestinal complaints, dry mouth and hypersensitivity reactions. The medicinal product should be used with caution in certain diseases such as cardiac arrhythmias, bronchial asthma or impaired liver function.
