Instructions for use for Televis Stulln UD eye drops, 20X0.6 ml
Area of application
This medicine is used locally in the eye.The active ingredient it contains has a vasoconstrictor effect and thereby reduces the blood vessels in the conjunctiva. It is used for non-infectious and allergic conjunctivitis, as well as concomitant inflammation of the conjunctiva in allergic diseases such as hay fever, irritation of the conjunctiva and eyelids without bacterial findings, e.g.B. used by dust, smoke, drafts and special stress. In addition, after the damaged superficial tissue layer of the eye has healed, it can be used for further treatment after antibacterial therapy of the anterior segment of the eye or after ophthalmological measures such as foreign body removal.
Active ingredients / ingredients / ingredients
The eye drops contain 0.6 mg naphazoline hydrochloride and 0.51 mg naphazoline. The excipients included are sodium chloride, sodium hydroxide solution, poly(vinyl alcohol) and water for injections.
Contraindications
The medicine must not be used if you are allergic to naphazoline hydrochloride or any of the other ingredients, in infants and small children under 2 years of age, in the first trimester of pregnancy, with increased intraocular pressure (narrow-angle glaucoma), with dry inflammation of the nasal mucosa (rhinitis sicca), with dry eyes (keratoconjunctivitis sicca) and with damage to the cornea of the eye, acute inflammation of the iris and other serious eye diseases.
Dosage
Always use this medicine exactly as described or exactly as discussed with your doctor or pharmacist. The recommended dose for adults and school children is 1 drop twice a day until the symptoms subside. If necessary, an increase to 1 drop 4 times a day is possible. Please talk to your doctor or pharmacist if you have the impression that the effect is too strong or too weak.
The eye drops should only be used for a short time (7 days) without a doctor's order.Reapplication should only be carried out after a break of several days. The doctor should be consulted about the duration of use in children, as there is no experience with children.
No prescription is required for this product.
Intake
For use on the eyes.Take a strip of single-dose containers from a bag and separate a dose.Drop the medicine into the conjunctival sac of the eye.To open the single-dose container, twist off the top closure part of the container.Bend your head back slightly, look up and pull your lower eyelid slightly away from your eye.By lightly pressing the lower part of the container, drip a drop into the lower conjunctival sac.Avoid touching the drip opening with your eye. After instillation, slowly close your eyes.To prevent possible side effects from infusing the eye drops into the nose/throat area, press the inner corner of the eye with a finger for 1 - 2 minutes after instillation.
Patient information
Particular caution is required in children under 2 years of age, as the medicine must not be used in children under 2 years of age.Long-term use and overdose should be avoided, especially in children aged 2 years and over.Use in children and at higher dosages may therefore only take place under medical supervision. If you have severe cardiovascular disease, a tumor of the adrenal gland (pheochromocytoma), an enlarged prostate or metabolic disorders, you should only use the eye drops after carefully weighing up the benefits and risks.Patients with a predisposition to increased intraocular pressure should be monitored regularly during long-term use. Please note that eye irritation or redness is often a sign of a serious eye disease and you should therefore consult an ophthalmologist.Be sure to see an ophthalmologist if the eye redness occurs acutely or on one side, if your current symptoms are accompanied by eye pain or headaches, or if you notice worsening vision or flying dots in front of your eyes.Increased caution is required in patients who show an increased reaction to vasoconstrictive substances. If you wear contact lenses, they should be removed before instillation and not reinserted until at least 15 minutes after instillation.
You must not drive a vehicle or use any tools or machines because, in rare cases, dilation of the pupils and blurred vision may occur after administration of the medicine. This means that even when used as intended, this medicine can temporarily affect your visual performance and thus your ability to react in traffic and operate machines.
Pregnancy
If you are pregnant or breast-feeding, think you may be pregnant or are planning to have a baby, ask your doctor or pharmacist for advice before using this medicine. The eye drops must not be used in the first trimester of pregnancy.Naphazoline should not be used during the remainder of pregnancy as there are no sufficient data on possible effects on the unborn child. It should not be used during breastfeeding as it is not known whether the active ingredient passes into breast milk.
Notes
Televis Stulln eye drops contain a vasoconstrictor and mucous membrane decongestant that reduces inflammatory reactions in the eye.Itching, burning and redness of the eyes are quickly relieved. The drops are in single-dose containers and are therefore free of preservatives. They are used for eye irritation, e.g.B. due to smoke, wind, drafts, allergic conjunctivitis, e.g.B. Spring catarrh (conjunctivitis vernalis) or hay fever.
Children aged 6 years and over and adults drip 1 drop into the conjunctival sac twice daily. To use, tilt your head back. After instillation, slowly close your eye and lightly press the tear duct between your nose and inner eyelid with your finger. If necessary, the dose can be increased to 4 times a day for children aged 6 years and over and adults.Contact lenses should not be worn during treatment.Without medical advice, the treatment duration should be 7 days and should not be given in high doses. You should always ask your doctor about the duration of use for children.
