UrgoStart is an absorbent polyurethane foam compress equipped with a microadhesive TLC-NOSF-wound healing matrix and a protective polyurethane backing.This compress offers several advantages for wound care:

The TLC-NOSF-wound healing matrix promotes the healing of lower leg and pressure ulcers, thereby shortening the healing time.This contributes to economical wound therapy and improves the quality of life of patients.The compress also ensures effective exudate management and protects the wound from maceration.The dressing change is atraumatic and painless.

Areas of application

UrgoStart is suitable for exuding chronic wounds, such as lower leg ulcers, pressure ulcers and diabetic foot ulcers, from granulation onwards.

Application

UrgoStart can be cut with sterile scissors to adjust the size of the dressing to the wound.The compress is fixed with a secondary dressing, for example with Urgomull haft latex-free or Urgoderm Stretch.UrgoStart can also be used in combination with compression therapy such as UrgoK2.The wearing time is 2 to 4 days.It is recommended that treatment be carried out over a period of at least 8 weeks.

Contraindications

UrgoStart should not be used on tumor-induced wounds and fistula-like wounds that show deep pus formation (abscess).The product must not be used even if you are known to be hypersensitive to UrgoStart.
