Product features: - UrgoStart is a foam wound dressing with an innovative technology called microadhesive TLC-NOSF-wound healing matrix®. - The dressing consists of a microadhesive TLC-NOSF-wound healing matrix® in combination with an absorbent polyurethane foam dressing and a protective non-woven polyurethane backing. Instructions for use: - Cleanse the wound according to the usual care protocol. - If an antiseptic has been used previously, thoroughly irrigate the wound with sterile physiological saline before applying UrgoStart. - Dry the wound area thoroughly. - UrgoStart can be cut with sterile scissors to fit the size of the dressing to the wound. - Remove the protective films from the microadhesive side and place the microadhesive side of UrgoStart on the wound. - Secure the dressing with a suitable secondary dressing and apply a compression bandage if required. - The dressing should be changed every 2 to 4 days and can remain on the wound for up to 7 days. - A treatment period of at least 8 weeks is recommended.
